Glass one: The future's begun over cheap wine You're busting out all of your best lines I don't think you're funny But I'll squeeze out some laughter To hold off disaster Glass two: Don't ask what I do in my spare time I know you don't care about my spare time Uncomfortable silence Did you kick me on purpose? You're making me nervous You're making me nervous Trying to get to know me from the inside out Stop groping me with questions Picking at my doubts Oh my God, you're making me nervous You're making me nervous, yeah Glass three: Don't get up to pee I won't be here when you reappear You're not special enough for the special You ordered too much now We're going it dutch now And don't ask if this was a date And please don't ask me if I would rate the experience A budding romance Or at least more fun than cancer You won't like my answer You're making me nervous Trying to get to know me from the inside out Stop groping me with questions Picking at my doubts Oh my God, you're making me nervous You're making me nervous, yeah You're making me nervous Staring at me sideways with your shifty eyes Why can't we cut our losses Skip right to goodbyes Oh my God, you're making me nervous You're making me nervous, yeah You, me And issues for three Now it's clear you're The key to the lock on the door of My 7-11 Like Woody and Previn A match made in Heaven You're making me nervous You're making me nervous You're making me nervous You're making me nervous You're making me nervous Trying to get to know me from the inside out Stop groping me with questions Picking at my doubts Oh my God, you're making me nervous You're making me nervous, yeah You're making me nervous Staring at me sideways with your shifty eyes Why can't we cut our losses Skip right to goodbyes Oh my God, you're making me nervous You're making me nervous, yeah

Puffy-chested law-abiders Old people and Volvo drivers Go as slow as you want, but don't waste my time - Just keep to the right 'Cause the left is mine! On the highways and the thruways and the byways There's a hundred-million Mack trucks, and they're all going my way I guess in trucker school they didn't explain: If you're gonna do the speed limit, get ou of the fast lane Old ladies in their blue and grey Mercedes Rich girls hopping bars in their daddies' new cars Rock stars, war heroes, presidents and priests: Everyone's an asshole when they cut in front of me, buddy! Green means go Green means go Green means go go go go go GO! Fighting is useless, baby Just play along Open the window, turn the radio on There are too many of you For anyone's good Hope you brought a nice book 'cause We're stuck in traffic just like Stevie Winwood. Puffy-chested law abiders Old people and Volvo drivers You're not the only motherfucker on the road I am! Brake light, brake light, 1-2-3 The only thing between my home and me Is a quarter-mile stretch of road Blocked off by a trailer with an oversized load Rubbernecker rubbernecker 1-2-3 "The cop is pulled over, but he might catch me" And all the other Good Samaritans whose lives won't be complete Unless they see blood splashed on the cold concrete Fighting is useless, baby Just play along Open the window, turn the radio on There are too many of you For anyone's good Hope you packed a nice dinner 'cause We're stuck in traffic just like Stevie Winwood. Puffy-chested law abiders Old people and Volvo drivers School buses and daydreamers Truckers, college kids and Beamers Green means go Green means go Green means go go go go go so GO!

The breeze picked up and pushed a can The can rolled down a hill A bird took wing to dodge the can And perched on my windowsill. The windowsill was old and worn And suddenly gave way It fell two stories to the ground On which three kittens lay The smallest one jumped up and ran And scared a butterfly Which left the flower it was on Just as a bee passed by The bee lit on the flower And soon I came along I didn't see, stepped on the bee And sure enough was stung ... I went into convulsions, all my allergies engaged The neighbors heard me screaming, and an ambulance was paged. I sat there in emergency, all miserable and sick Then I saw her across the room - my heart was pumping quick - I waved for her attention, and she stiffly raised her head I asked her what the problem was, and this is what she said: The breeze blew leaves from an old oak tree And new light from the sun Shone through the spot the leaves had been And startled mice to run The mice ran down the sidewalk And they hid inside a tree Bothering a young raccoon And angering a bee Which flew out in a rage and stung The first thing that it found And there I was, out walking I crumpled to the ground ... Her allergies, the same as mine, had left her in this place Oh, just think - if not for this Spring wind, I'd have never seen her face That was so many years ago, the day we fell in love But we don't credit allergies, or providence above Not rolling cans or frightened mice or angry buzzing bees - We're just two people swept together by the gently blowing breeze. And perhaps we're all just brought together by the gently blowing breeze.

about

2020 wasn’t good for much, but being homebound did allow me to sort through 30 years of old recordings, and unarchive tons of shelved and incomplete material.

And then finish that shit!

I am not really interested in doing “albums” anymore… holding music back until a dozen arbitrarily-linked songs are mixed and mastered and the stars and planets align. But at the same time, “singles” are kind of boring and “EPs” demand some degree of cohesion, and I don’t want to be boxed in like that. So here is what I offer you: THREE-PACKS

Remember those randomly-bagged multipacks of comic books they used to sell in toy and drug stores? You wouldn’t be able to see what was inside until you tore open the plastic, and the comics might be brand new or fifteen years old… it was just whatever happened to be laying around when they bundled it up. There was no thematic connection, no rhyme or reason to the collection, and one bag could even contain books from both Marvel AND DC. I was introduced to so many fun stories that way, and that is how I am going to introduce (or reintroduce) you to all of these songs.

This three-pack includes “You're Making Me Nervous” (2007), an acoustic take on Skyscape's “The Breeze” (2008) and Pop Will Eat Itself's 2014 remix of “Traffic” - all recently completed using a combination of the original recordings and new material. You can read more about each track if you click through to its page.

I’m not promising these three-packs in any regularly-scheduled fashion… and I’m not going to tell you about them in advance. When I feel like one is ready, it will just appear. They may have Skyscape/Hanslick Rebellion/Collider songs on them. All of my records from the past that are not currently available digitally will be represented, as well as material you have never heard, including brand-new stuff. But as far as I’m concerned, all of this music is new to most of the universe - and these are fresh versions of everything anyway, so I hope that in a way it will also be new to you.

Let’s have some fun <3
